Adult Worship

Nottingham Congregational Christian Church gathers for worship every Sunday at 10 am, year-round.

Children Worship

Church School for Kindergarten thru grade 8 is also at 10 am (September to June). Infant and toddler care are provided upon request. Just ask the greeter or one of the ushers and they will direct you to someone who can help. Those in 9th grade and older are part of adult worship on Sunday mornings, look at our youth and Christian Education pages to see what’s available for middle and high schoolers.

Songs and Hymns and Spiritual Songs

Familiar to Nottingham Congregational Christian Church

Anyone who has ever looked for a church has probably asked, "What kind of music do they sing there?" We thought we'd just put it right out there where you could see. While almost everything on this list is found in our current hymnal, "The Celebration Hymnal," this isn't an exhaustive list. There are tons of other songs in the hymnal (and we can print almost anything someone suggests).

Most worship music needs to be familiar enough to most of the people that it will help them to come before the Lord effectively. We are neither a hymns only church or a contemporary church. We're what you might call a "blended" church.

Below is a listing of songs an awful lot of believers, no matter what church they've been part of, would probably be familiar with. We would always love feedback from our church family and friends about what worship music is familiar to you. Please write either Pastor (jonathan.colegrove@gmail.com or Andy (a-inzenga@comcast.net) an email anytime and suggest something you'd like us to sing as we worship together.

The words in brackets [ ] are commonly known tune names (for anyone who cares about such things), the words in braces { } are names of authors or composers, because some of those matter to people who wish they could sing something by so-and-so, and the words in parentheses ( ) are either first lines or another name by which the song is generally known. Is that confusing enough for you?
